Emergency garage door repair · Tucson, AZ
Discount Door Service handles emergency garage door repair across Tucson, AZ, including Oro Valley, Marana, Sahuarita, Vail, Tanque Verde and the Catalina Foothills. Most genuine emergencies are one of three things: a door stuck open overnight, a car shut inside, or a door hanging off its track and unsafe to touch. Those are security and safety problems rather than inconvenience, and they need a technician the same day, not a slot next week. We stabilize the door first, then repair the spring, cable, track or opener that caused it. Family owned since 1999, licensed ROC #322606. Call (520) 579-9084.

Door stuck open? Call (520) 579-9084 · Do not stand under a hanging door · Same-day priority for security issues
Is this an emergency?
Not every fault needs a technician tonight, and we will tell you honestly which one you have. These four are the ones we move to the front of the list.
01
Your house is open. This is the one we treat as urgent regardless of the hour, because everything in the garage and often the door into the house is now accessible from the street.
02
Less dangerous, but it will cost you a day. Before you call, look for the red release cord: with the door fully CLOSED, pulling it disconnects the opener so the door can be lifted by hand, provided the spring is intact.
03
Stop using it and stay out from under it. A door that has jumped its track is held by whatever is left of the cables, and it can come down without warning.
04
That is a broken spring or a snapped cable, and the door is no longer counterbalanced. Leave it down. Do not try to lift it to get the car out.
The first job is a door that cannot fall. Sometimes that means clamping it in place before we even start diagnosing.
A door off its track is almost always the second event. Something else failed first, usually a cable, a roller or a spring, and fixing only the track guarantees a second call-out.
Springs, cables, rollers and most opener faults are repaired on site. If a part has to be ordered we secure the door so the house is not left open in the meantime.
Urgency is not a reason to skip the quote. You hear the number before any work begins, including on an evening or weekend call.
Tell us what happened
Describe what the door is doing. If it is a security problem, call rather than send the form.

If it is happening right now
Three things that keep the situation from getting worse while you wait.
01
Every extra cycle on a broken spring or a jumped track does more damage and turns a repair into a replacement.
02
Move the car out of the doorway if it is safe to do so, and keep children and pets out of the garage until we have been.
03
A bang, a grinding noise, or nothing at all each point somewhere different. It helps us arrive with the right parts on the truck.
What an emergency call costs
The most common worry with an after-hours call is being over a barrel on price. Here is what actually moves the number, and you will hear it before anyone starts work.
A cable off a drum and a snapped torsion spring are different jobs with different parts.
A door that has jumped its track usually needs realigning as well as the original repair.
Ask us on the phone. You will be told what an evening or weekend visit costs before we book it, not when the invoice appears.
The single biggest variable, and the one you control. A door forced a few more times after the first failure often takes the opener with it.
You will be told the cost of the visit on the phone, and the cost of the repair before the repair starts.
Tucson homeowners
Cables, springs and rollers are inexpensive parts doing a demanding job in a climate that is hard on them. The reason they turn into emergencies is that they fail without warning, usually as somebody is leaving or arriving. The repair itself is normally routine once the door is safe.

Same day unbelievable Great service Extremely considerate and concerned About repairing my garage doors. Best price. Did way more then Expected .Posted on Google Andrew LemkeTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Awesome Service at a Great Price!!!! I had Discount Door Services install two high-lift garage door conversions on my existing doors. Two competitors quoted me a much higher price and didn't seem all that interested in the job. In contrast, Paul visited my home, spent time discussing my goals for the project, went over my options and provided the most reasonable quote. Simply stated, he went the extra mile to earn my business! Corey did great job on the install. He arrived on time and made sure I was happy with the final results. The doors operate perfectly! There were no surprise charges or issues. Overall it was probably the best home repair / service experience that I have had in a long time, possibly ever! I will certainly give them my business if I ever need future garage door service and I will recommend them to friends and family. High quality service at great prices is hard to find these days, but you will find it with Paul and Corey at Discount Door Services! Sometimes, but be careful. If the spring is intact, pulling the release cord lets you lower the door by hand. If the spring has broken the door is no longer counterbalanced and will try to fall, so do not release it while it is up.
It disconnects the door from the opener carriage so the door can be moved by hand. Pull it with the door CLOSED wherever possible. Pulling it with the door open removes the only thing holding the door up if the spring has failed.
Yes. Getting the house closed and secure is a separate job from the full repair, and we can usually do the first even when the second has to wait for a part.
Almost never, and we will tell you so rather than sell you an urgent visit. Noise is a warning to book something in the next week or two, not tonight.
Ask when you call and we will tell you before the visit is booked. What we will not do is let you find out on the invoice.
